Every day is a new adventure, and though this blog won't capture it all at least you might get a glimpse of our crazy life...

Quotes

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for

Loving a baby is a circular business, a kind of feedback loop. The more you give the more you get and the more you get the more you feel like giving.
Penelope Leach

While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about.
Angela Schwindt

Boy, n.: a noise with dirt on it.

Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.
John W. Whitehead

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back.

The rest of summer...

Everything has been a little crazy the past few months. I figured I'd just post everything that we've been up to all at once with as many of my favorite pictures without overloading the post with them.

Jax turned 2!!!! This still amazes me because I feel like we just had him and he's so big now. :(

The big boy with his Grandmas!

And then his Grandpa...

His favorite birthday present was this vacuum from Audge. He still pushes it around the floor and loves it!

Derek had vacation so we went to Monterey with the kids. They loved the aquarium there. I could not believe how many things there were to see and explore.

My pretty girl...

Our hotel was right next to the ocean and I think just being on the beach was the kids favorite part of the whole trip.

They loved playing in the sand and running from the waves. Jax spent a lot of time carrying this bucket around with him and eventually set it down only long enough for a wave to come up and drag it into the ocean. The rest of the day he was whimpering, "bucket..." :( He was so sad that it got swallowed up. Daddy told him the fishies had a new toy to play with. To this day if I talk about the ocean he whines and says, "bucket" lol.

The kids at the aquarium discovering the textures of the ocean.

On the way home we stopped at the Santa Cruz boardwalk and let the kids ride some rides. They were so cute and looked like such big kids enjoying their time there.

Daddy had a birthday! Peyton and I made and decorated this cake. Not very professional I know, but we had fun making it.

We went out to dinner to celebrate.

Peyton got her first real haircut at almost 4 years old. Her curls seem to be more spiral now and they're very bouncy. It's almost like she's already ready for another one her hair is growing so fast now.

The kids love their cousins...

These were taken on a family day that we were just out and about.

My big girl started Preschool and loves it! She goes Tuesdays and Thursdays and is already into the routine of things. She's getting so independent it's scary!

The day after she started preschool she turned 4! She wanted a bike for her birthday!

and a dream lite pillow pet... she's so funny on her birthday she asked, "can I be 4 all day?" I told her, "you can be 4 all year until next year when you turn 5." Then she asked, "Well what about 3?" and I told her she was done being 3. Then she whined, "but I loved being 3!" I told her it isn't fun getting old is it? lol

One day after picking up Peyton from school we took the kids to the park next door and let them swing for a little while.

We had a birthday party for Peyton. Janeane got the girls matching outfits that are soo cute!

love them...

My princess and I

Father and son... this is probably my favorite picture of them right now!

I walked in on this one day and almost had a heart attack! luckily most of the polish landed on his leg, but thankfully the polish on the carpet came out with a little water and rubbing alcohol.

The kids had a play date not to long ago where they went swimming and had lunch at a friends house. It's soo much fun getting them all together!
