Our Family

Welcome to my blog!

Every day is a new adventure, and though this blog won't capture it all at least you might get a glimpse of our crazy life...

Quotes

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for

Babies are a link between angels and man.

Children are a handful sometimes, A heartfull all the time.

Loving a baby is a circular business, a kind of feedback loop. The more you give the more you get and the more you get the more you feel like giving.
Penelope Leach

While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about.

Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back.

Our Halloween

Unfortunately Daddy had to work this Halloween, but he was at least able to see the kids in their costumes before he left. I took this little witch and her pirate brother to Oroville to celebrate with family!

When picking out her costume we tried to talk her into so many different things like princesses or something cute and frilly, but she was stuck on being a witch so we finally gave in. She even picked out the last witch costume I would have chosen for her, but after we put it on her we realized it was a cute one. We practiced her witch laugh a thousand times at home and she got it down perfect, but once we actually got out and around other people she was too shy to do it... We started out our night of trick or treating at Grammy's work(an assisted living facility). All the elderly people were so excited to see these two at their door and I'm pretty sure grammy loved showing them off to everyone.

Jax made such a cute pirate! I was surprised that he left his hat on all night, even after taking it on and off while getting him in and out of the truck.

His costume was a little big, but it worked. It came with shoe covers that looked like boots, but they were way too big for him. He picked up on the concept of getting candy in his pumpkin pretty quick and was blowing kisses at everyone as a thank you.

After trick or treating Country Crest we went to Derek's Aunt Edna and Uncle Dale's door and stayed a while. Then we went to Jeff's to see aunt Sarah. The kids got tons of candy and little gifts from all of them. Peyton loved showing off her outfit all night! I wish I took more pictures through the evening...

We ended the night at my parent's house in Gridley with Audge, Damon and Kinsley. Kinsley's owl costume was to die for, but I think both her and Peyton were over their hats... We were all pretty beat by the end of the night, but it was worth all the running around we did to see everyone we wanted to see.
